School Swimming

School swimming has now finished for the first half of 2013. Students participated in a swimming group that catered to their needs for five days.

Group 2 is to be commended for great improvement throughout the week. They began with 'plopping' into the water on Monday and finished with a 25 metre lap of the pool.

At the swimming carnival on Friday, Barracudas and Sharks fought to the wire for the coveted win for 2013. Nudged by the nose and with only a few points in their favour, Barracudas brought the win home.

A big thank you to all parent volunteers, Sandra Opperman for her tireless teaching across the five days, and Sam Wimmer for supporting the swimming instruction all week also. It is clear from the smiles and improvements that school swimming is an important part of our curriculum.
